While Bellevue is known as an affluent area, poverty still exists within the city and our schools. This map shows all the schools we serve in the Bellevue School District. Our Bellevue students depend on our meals to stay fed over the weekend.

January 2021 Announcements
8 churches on the Eastside gave generously to help our neighbors get the food they need. Holy Cross Lutheran, St. Louise Catholic church, East Shore Unitarian, St. Madeleine Sophie, Aldersgate Methodist, St. Margaret Episcopal, St. Andrews Lutheran, and Cross of Christ Lutheran. Together they contributed $ 14,000.00 They live their mission!
Windermere again gave generously to Eastside Nonprofits and gave Backpack Meals for Kids 12,000.00
Bellevue Rotary contributed $15,000 to Backpack Meals for Kids to provide food for families.
We are grateful that we live in a community that is ready to help. Our mission could not be fulfilled without the commitment of the wonderful people of Bellevue.
Instead of needing meals on the weekend, many families in Bellevue need food every day. Backpack Meals has stepped up to the challenge. In addition to pre-packed food, we provide fresh produce like eggs cheese, and milk, as well as nonperishable foods and grocery cards. Our volunteers have been working every day to support the need and deliver food. We are grateful to them.
A Farewell to Our Community
After 14 years of service, Backpack Meals for Kids has decided to close operations and merge with Backpack Brigade. Backpack Brigade will continue to serve the Bellevue Community. Thank you for years of support and donations.
